Accountant | Co-Executive Director, Atlanta Life Skills

Kim’s journey with Life Skills began in 2010, when she entered Phase 1 during a season of deep anxiety and challenges in her third marriage. At the time, she hoped the program would “fix her marriage,” but instead it opened the door to a much deeper transformation. Through completing both Phase 1 and Phase 2, Kim came to understand how trauma from her family of origin—particularly around the father–daughter bond—had shaped false belief systems and co-dependent patterns such as relationship addiction, denial, compliance, controlling, and care-taking.

With new tools and boundaries in place, she made the difficult but healthy decision to divorce in 2011, continuing her healing journey as a single mom for the next decade. During those years, Kim not only grew personally but also cultivated resilience, balance, and hope. In 2015, she began facilitating Life Skills classes, turning her own experience into a passion for helping other women find freedom and wholeness.

Today, Kim is remarried to her husband, John, and together they serve their congregation at Free Chapel in Gainesville, GA. She is also a CPA with a large charitable foundation, where she specializes in advancing generosity. Kim is the proud mother of two adult children and enjoys traveling, mission work, music, dancing, exercising, time at the beach, and playing games with friends and family.

Having personally experienced this transformation, Kim is passionate about giving back through Life Skills—guiding others toward the same healing, balance, and joy that reshaped her own life.

Tricia Spada

Health Care Expert | Co-Executive Director, Atlanta Life Skills

Tricia Spada, Certified Phase 1 and Phase 2  Facilitator at Atlanta Life Skills since 2008, Registered Pediatric Nurse Case manager, married to husband Doug for 40 years and parents to Ryan, 30 yrs and Brayden,21 yrs.

Tricia and Doug were introduced to Life Skills International in1998 after a marital separation  thirteen years into their marriage. Prior to the separation, they sought personal and marital assistance through counselors, Pastors, mentors, and marriage retreats. During this time, Tricia and Doug gained insight for marriage maintenance.  However, familiar patterns continued to surface: arguments, anger, resentment, and unresolved issues.

Life Skills was a safe place for personal healing, and offered understanding to the questions we often are unable to identify: “Why do I continue the same behaviors that I don’t understand?” And,” What I don’t know can drive me crazy, but understanding my behaviors allows me to take personal responsibility, to bring balance, and healing.”

Life Skills provided the pathway to personal insight, to reconciling and reuniting with Doug after 14 months of separation. It has been a strong testimony in our marriage, a helpful tool and resource for our children, our relationships and in daily social skills.

Tricia is honored to be part of this life-changing, life-giving program.
